This aromatic white grape variety, with a history dating back many centuries, expresses the terroir of Tirol in a balanced wine of bright yellow color with greenish highlights. It has a typical aroma with hints of citrus, slightly floral, and a high acidity that brings a pleasant freshness in the glass.
Designation: DOP/DOC-CMD Banat – Dealurile Tirolului
Variety: Riesling 100%
Provenance: Two Riesling vineyards in Tirol and the plantations from 2009 and 2016
Harvested: second decade of September
Yield/ha & Ratio: 8.200 kg/ha = 5.248 litres of wine, 64% must-to-fruit ratio
Vinification:
The grapes from our vineyards were carefully selected and handpicked to be vinified in our four-level gravity fed winery. From the top level, where the grapes come in and down to the underground cellar, where the wine ages in wood barriques, this gentle process helped by gravity, allowed the Riesling to naturally extract its aromas.
